Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller - Time 100 Most Influential People In The World

Kinda beaming with pride over here.  I have always wondered why my little island had not elected a woman as Prime Minister.  We have always had a voice in politics and have a vast array of qualified women.  It's quite a dichotomy considering how misogynistic our culture is but we all have our issues I suppose.  Le sigh.  Better late than never.  I would also like to give her major *big ups* for her stance on promoting full civil rights for gays and lesbians.  We have a long way to go when it comes to that but it is a start.  Proud moment.  Read more @Time Magazine.
